Ken: Bridge of Spirits

Being one of the most beautiful games I've played this year, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a game of action/adventure with a strong focus on narrative. Developed by Ember Lab and released on 26/09/2022.

History

In a world where spirits are common, some gifted people become spirit guides and help spirits trapped on that plane move forward. Kena, our main character, is looking for the mountain shrine, but the path is corrupted. She then must face corruption and help free spirits trapped in this path. Gathering friends (Rots) that will be yours companions and will help you on this journey.

Gameplay

This is a point that can weigh a little for PC players, in Kena: Bridge of Spirits, the player will have different buttons for many interactions, so I don't believe that playing by keyboard and mouse is the most intuitive option. In that case I would recommend a controller even for a better experience. Other than that, the mechanics are fluid and the combat is in line with what we'd expect for this style of play. In addition to having a selection of difficulty when starting a new game, being able to choose from story mode to expert.

Kena Graphics: Bridge of Spirits

The most beautiful game I've played in recent years. The game is very beautiful, while looking at the preview images I already imagined, ok, this game is beautiful, however, when running it, even in medium quality, the graphics found are inexplicable. if I had to rate the graphic quality of this game from 0 to 10, I would give it 13. I'll leave the official trailer of the game available on the PlayStation channel in 4k, however, it's not quite the same as the experience of playing, after all, videos are compressed and limited to 30 frames per second

Weight, minimum system requirements

If you are a PC gamer, this is the time you will need to put your Gaming PC to use, as the recommended settings for this game are high, requesting at least 12gb of ram and an AMD Radeon R7 360 2GB/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB or equivalent and recommending an AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB/ Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8GB or equivalent, excluding 16gb of ram.

Even my pc having the recommended requirements, another factor that takes a lot is the temperature, I use a notebook that got very hot during the process of testing the game, going from the maximum settings to the averages due to temperature, so maybe it's another point of attention for those who have a machine that usually raises the temperature.

Going straight to the point, yes, the game has beautiful graphics and an engaging story, the fact that most impresses is that the game is indie and the first of the studio. So even though it's the clearest game I've ever brought here to the blog, I believe without a doubt that it's an engaging and relevant experience, especially for lovers of the genre.
