Multiplayer games at BGS 2022
The Brasil Game Show, the biggest gaming event in Latin America, took place this month between the 6th and 12th (October). with that several indie games were exposed, from platform up to several RPG's and today, I will bring 3 multiplayer games that were exposed at the event that I believe are worth checking out and closely following their release.
Farm Your Friends
if you think overcooked is a game made to lose friendships, wait until you meet Farm Your Friends. Bringing multiplayer mechanics to the farm, where up to 8 people will compete to see who is the best manioc planter. the detail is that you can steal your friends, hit them with a stun gun and throw them in the well, put a carnivorous plant to attack them among other things... In short, be careful, your friends won't be your friends anymore .
Scheduled to be officially released in Q1 2023, Farm Your Friends is a lot of fun and can be played even by those who don't live with the gaming world. the graphics are nice and the gameplay mechanics very simple. The game already has a page on Steam, so if you want to follow the development and be notified when the game is officially released, you can already add it to the wish list.
Space Chefs
Coming from a mix between Overcooked and Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Space Chefs is a cooking game where your customers are aliens and your cookbook is in the wrong language, in short, the revenue to go wrong. In up to 4 players, you should divide the tasks, between reading the cookbook, the dictionary and stabbing the monkey food, I mean, preparing the meal, this joke will make much more sense when the game is released...
Speaking of launch, Space Chefs is expected to launch at the end of 2023, with its availability scheduled for PC (Windows). Updates on the game's development are posted on Instagram of the game.
Secret Blade
Another game with mechanics similar to Overcooked, certainly a trend in the indie world of multiplayer games, however, in this case we will be forging weapons. Customers appeared in your shop asking for weapons and you will have to forge them, gather metals to form better and more resistant weapons, and use them to attack the enemies that will come to hinder you, eventually deliver one or the other to your customers as well.
Also having boss systems, to add something more to the player experience. The game can be played by up to 4 players and is expected to be released in the 1st half of 2023 for PC (Windows), with the possibility of being released also for Nintendo Switch. Conclusion and extra multiplayer games to meet
The games presented this year were very interesting, and without a doubt Brazilian developers are coming up with better ideas and better polished games. However, while the games on this list are not released, you can check out other titles such as Unrailed!, Tricky towers, BattleBlock ou out of space. And who knows, maybe not bring the full review of these titles when their releases finally arrive.
